The Last Transmission
Bluecoats Gallery, Liverpool, winter 2009/2010

Between 2008 and 2012, the government is switching off the analogue TV signal across the UK.
At the end of 2009 it is the turn of the Liverpool region

5 big old TV's stand on their sides in a row, embedded in the gallery floor facing the street.

Each set plays the very last 24hr of sound of one of the 5 terrestrial TV channels [recorded with its inbuilt ariel].

The TV's show just the TV fuzz left following the signal being switched off
